Lifescience buddies ger & Soki! haha after trying to meet up for the whole sem, we finally met up. 3 lame science students' outing is of course full of lame science jokes. & we even ended up singing our NY school song 我们跟时代进行,高唱谐和的歌音。。。

Buddha's Lost Children Movie screening with plEEk plEEk (strange/weird) fwens =)

Buddha's Lost Children

In the borderlands of Thailand's Golden Triangle, a rugged region known for its drug smuggling and impoverished hill tribes, one man devotes himself to the welfare of the region’s children. A former Thai boxer, turned Buddhist monk, Phra Khru Bah Neua Chai Kositto travels widely on horseback, fearlessly dispensing prayers, health care, education and tough-love to villagers far from the protection and support of governments or non-governmental organisations. With his Golden Horse Temple he's built an orphanage, school and clinic - a haven for the children of the region, who see him as a shaman, father figure and coach.

A very touching and heart-warming documentary. I'm intending to get the DVD so if ya interested can poke me to borrow it =)

Sungei Buloh Anniversary walk 06/12/08
Though I've been to Sungei buloh 4 times this semester for field trips, going there with squadys was a different experience.
The Guest-of-Honour, SM Goh
A very enjoyable day, with an interesting talk by Dr Siva, one of my favourite Bio lecturers. It's a coincidence that he shares the same birthday as Sungei Buloh, which he has been involved with since his uni days many years back and everyone in the Lt sang him a birthday song =)
